Carboplatin for Injection is approved for the treatment of ovarian cancer.

Carboplatin Pharmacology

Carboplatin is related to cisplatin. This platinum containing compound, upon entering the cells, damages the DNA and cross links the strands, thereby preventing future DNA production, which ultimately results in cell death.
